Emily’s work today, as an advisor and family meeting facilitator, is to assist your family as you embark on a strategic path to create successful family wealth/family business continuation plans that reflect your family’s unique goals and objectives.

Her role is to facilitate discussions to help you design, develop and implement a plan, sometimes called a Family Office, that supports your family to reach its shared goals/objectives/vision.

The goal of this work is to create a family enterprise framework that can evolve over time with the family and the family business, supporting the family enterprise both today and in the future by solving problems before they become problems, like how is a voice in decision making earned, what is our family employment and compensation policy, how do we define family, etc.

Your family and Emily will work jointly. Your family is the content expert for its Family Office and Emily adds the expertise in strategic development for successful family wealth and family business continuation plans.

Utilizing the Family Bank Approach, Emily brings to this role of advisor and facilitator her first-hand experience along with her knowledge as a Chartered Accountant, Family Enterprise Advisor, Family Business Advisory Board member and Conflict Resolution Coach.

Sometimes all a family needs is a phone call or two to set their course. Emily encourages those who find value in these calls to consider a donation to The Nature Trust of BC, a not-for-profit organization in which Emily has a volunteer role serving as an active Board member. As a nature conservation agency, the Nature Trust of BC decades ago took on the daunting task of protecting the natural riches of British Columbia, Canada by building a treasury of wild natural areas to conserve iconic and important species at risk.
